The Naftalan Special Hospital in Ivanić Grad is a unique health tourism destination precisely because of the use of salt thermal water and medicinal oil – naphthalene. The naphthalene deposit is the only one of its kind in Europe, and the second recorded in the world. Since 1989, we have been successfully implementing treatments that are unavailable anywhere else in this form.
Naftalan is a natural mineral oil obtained by distillation of naphthenic oil and is considered a natural healing agent. It contains steranes – compounds similar to steroid hormones and provitamin D – which give it exceptional anti-inflammatory and desensitizing effects.
